early part of the twentieth century there were tensions in Europe, which is something that prompted two world wars. After that, with the existence of communism still wreaking havoc for
first bloc countries, the cold war began. This changed everything. Also, for various reasons--both internal and external--nations make decisions in respect to how their foreign policy would be
for particular states. Much would depend on political ideology and in line with the cold war, all communist nations were shunned by the "free" world. Of course, communist sympathizers believed
that the ideology would be implemented as Karl Marx might have seen it, but the truth is that unscrupulous despots were the ones who were in charge and while the
idea of communism was to share, the wealth would rise to the top when the paradigm was actually implemented. By the time that for example Russia would crumble, there was
no wealth left. China was a different story. Today, China is doing quite well while maintaining a semblance of communist rule and also enjoying the benefits of capitalism. Chinas foreign
policy has changed over the years and this is true as it respects many countries. It is certainly true when examining how Chinese international policy affects Korea. As far as
China is concerned, foreign policy had changed a bit since the Korean War. China made the decision to shift from a One-Korea policy to a Two-Korea policy. This change
is tantamount to a stark revision in overall ideology, although China and North Korea are still aligned. One can see, when looking at current events, that China has most certainly
