teaching children: * The value of teaching children the Love of God. Children can grasp the fact that Jesus loves them. They have a great need for love (Downs, 1994).
Gods attitudes are taught through lessons and through example. The childrens ministry teachers need to project this love. Teaching children about the Great Commandment prepares them to become lifelong disciples
of Christ. When asked what the most important commandment was, Jesus replied: "The most important one," answered Jesus, . . . Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than
these" (Mark 12:30-31). The Great Commandment is to love God and to love neighbors and others. * The value of teaching faith. To teach faith, we must explain that faith
is a belief in something that you cannot see or touch. Christian faith comes in stages that begins in childhood and continues through adulthood. Fowler provided the stage theory of
faith development. Stage 2 is related to children from three/four to seven/eight when they experience intuitive-projective faith. At this age, children are still confusing reality and fantasy (McClure, n.d.).
* The value of teaching relationships. One of the side effects of childrens ministries is that the children interact with other children, which is something they need. unlike a playground,
