There are studies taking place all that time which attempt to improve, or increase, "neurogenesis" with the hope that the medical or scientific community can "find compounds that will help
replace cells lost in a range of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimers and Huntingtons" (Technology Review, 2006; 86). So much research is taking place in this field that new discoveries
are made every day, such as how disrupted sleep patterns could be a sign of a neurodegenerative disease (GP, 2006; 02). However, at the same time there are many studies
concerning how people handle such life threatening conditions, how families deal with problems and impending death in many cases. And, when speaking of children this is an issue that becomes
even more emotional and traumatic. With that in mind the following paper discusses "Trajectory of Certain Death at an Unknown Time: Children with Neurodegenerative Life-Threatening Illnesses" by Rose G. Steel.
Children with Neurodegenerative Life-Threatening Illnesses 1. The first item to be discussed is whether this is a qualitative or a quantitative study.
It is a qualitative study and this is evident by the fact that the study is examining how people deal with the problems of having sick children, and how people
