born in the United States. She was attending the Arabian School in Northern Virginia until this year when she was transferred to a regular public school. While at the Arabian
school it was indicated that she needed to be tested for learning problems. The Arabian School, having no special education program could not offer Faye what she needed. When she
moved to the public school, which offers special education programs, she was evaluated and it was determined that she had a learning disability. In addition, Faye comes from a
home where Arabic is spoken, and she comes from a school where both English and Arabic were taught. In her public school only English is spoken. Faye can speak both
English and Arabic fluently. Tests Administered The tests that were administered were the Beery PVT (Beery Picture Vocabulary Test) and the UTLD-3 (Utah Test of Language Development-3). Each
test will be discussed individually in the following report. Beery PVT Behavior During Test Faye was administered the test at the house of the tester once the mother
had dropped her off. Faye asked many questions before the test began: "How long am I going to stay?," "Is it hard?," "Why are you testing me?" She was reassured
that it was a test that had also been given to her friend Haifa and that it was important to test more than one person. This seemed to relax her
and calm her questions for she sat more quietly in her chair and seemed to settle in. During the testing she appeared to be very curious about what was
written down regarding her questions. So that she could not read the results of her answers a small "o" was used for correct answers and a large "O" was used
