consecutive activities were observed in the classroom. One was a small group activity where Linda worked with two classmates to build a tower with different shaped blocks. The purpose was
to encourage counting, manual dexterity and problem solving. It involved the three children planning how they would build the tower so it would remain upright. They had some mishaps, i.e.,
it fell down when it got too tall. The children eventually decided to form it like a pyramid, larger at the bottom. Interestingly, the children shared, they did not argue
or bicker and they took the mishaps well. At one point, Linda said, "well, that didnt work!" The other activity was an individual one following a phonetic lesson. Linda
was matching sounds with written letters on a sheet of paper. Linda completed the individual work rather quickly and began doodling on her page. Linda lives with both parents
and an older sister. Her sister is eight years old. Both parents work and a grandmother takes care of them after school. In fact, the grandmother picks them up at
school and takes them to their home. Physical Development By appearance, Linda is a slight but well-proportioned girl. She is about the same height as most of the
