and ethical questions. This is an innovative company that has grown fast enough in five years to develop plans to offer and IPO. While their founding location, New Orleans right
after Hurricane Katrina, was an act of inspiration, that same location is causing problems today with the BP oil spill. The company has engendered loyalty from its employees, especially those
who began with the company. Their policy to promote from within is a major incentive for employees to give their best, including their loyalty to the company. Organizations that grow
as fast as CCCC do so because their employees are actively engaged in their work. Event though the BP oil disaster has reduced revenues, the corporation is still maintaining
full employment. They are also encouraging their franchisees to do the same thing. While this is admirable, it may not be the best business decision for all stakeholders. If
the company loses too much money, they will have to make very steep employee cuts and could even endanger the future business of the company. Their policy to promote from
within is not an ethical issue nor is their practice of promoting those who began with the company. This would not constitute discrimination under the existing laws. By now, all
people who began with the company should have been promoted into management or franchisee positions. Promoting from within is a strong incentive for all employees to be actively engaged in
