future strategy. The company has had a hasty that has caused fragmentation in the board and a culture of conflict and separation. This has impacted on both the attitudes of
the board members, and cannot fail to have extended down the hierarchy, creating a company that has different division that operate separately and autonomously with self interests. Even aspects such
as conflicts of interest have not been fully addressed the past. Therefore the first aspect that will need to be address will be the corporate culture that permeates the board
and the company, in order to develop a culture that will embrace the changes that need to be made and create a more positive work environment. Change needs to occur
from the top down, and with the entrance of a new CEO there is an opportunity to develop change. In addition to the
need for change we also need to address the strategy of the way that the company operates, the goals and the way that profit is achieved. The company has had
a major problem regarding the way in which profit has been created in the past, with the use of the sale of assets used to support not only the reduction
n debt, but the apparent good performance of the company. WE need to change this. The company should be using its assets, not selling them, now with fewer assets we
need to look at the operations and create more links in the value chains enriching rather than expanding and adding value to the operations that are in place.
