levels of society. Organizational structure in particular witnessed considerable evolution during this century. Unfortunately, from a political and sociological standpoint we have witnessed an evolution from a simpler
time to a more complex one, from a time in which we regarded all that was American with an overwhelming pride to a time when we denounce not only our
country but the institutions which it encompasses. At the same time, however, we have witnessed a transition in our organizations from management theories based on rigid production-oriented management characterizing
the scientific management era to the more loosely organized management styles characterizing behaviorists and post-modernists. The factors which have shaped past and existing
American political identity and our organizational structure are many and varied. Many of these factors of course revolve around the face of our government itself and the factors influencing
this governments interactions with both the people of this and other countries and with the governments of other countries. This interaction has changed considerably over the years as has
the political identity of this country and how it is perceived both by its citizens, those of other countries, and the government of other countries. Our organizational has
varied in accordance with many of these same factors. That there have been numerous political shifts in U.S. government over its
