1. Introduction All organisations have to undergo change. This is true of commercial, not-for-profit and governmental
organisations all of which have to adapt and change in order to meet the requirements of a dynamic environment. Corporate entities have to deal with a wide range of influences,
it may be argued that bodies charged with governing and regulating the behaviour corporate entities have a significantly harder task; having to do with the change environment as well as
the responses of those they are supervising regulating. The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria has a difficult role, taking over from a
former regulator that was inefficient and ineffective and trying to regulate business in an area where there are difficulties and challenges in terms of corporate governance and general structural control.
With this type of environment the need to change and adapt is essential for any organisation, especially one in a position of CAC,
to be able to perform its functions in an effective manner. The organisation has already undergone change, internal and external, and is likely to face many more changes in the
future. In order to ensure that changes in the future managed so that efficiency is created, rather than bureaucracy and adaptability is fostered the way in which change takes place
