which technology is developing, the change is needed to that it is not left behind as others adapt. It is not only the technology that is creating change, although it
appears this is a driver, other departments, such as the human resource department are also seeing change, even in the departments where technology is a driver, the changes are not
limited to those linked directly to information technology. The company appears to have a culture that encourages and promotes constant improvement, the staff are encouraged to innovate and there management
structures appear to support development of new ideas. There are also some aspects of the company culture that may hinder ongoing change.
In sales and marketing, a major function of the company, there is little interdepartmental communication and employees state that they feel they would benefit from better job descriptions, it also
look like training and communication internally are weak, the only time for conflict resolution, unlike other departments where this can be tackled as it arises, it as the bi annual
meeting. If we look at this company there can be argued the need for change, the sales and marketing need increased bilateral communication, not only to resolve conflicts as
they arise, but also to ensure employees understand what their jobs are and receive appropriate job training and feedback. In the other departments there is constant change occurring that could
benefit from a change model being applied to ensure that the employees do not suffer as a result on the ongoing change.
