all means. The title indicates also that this is just an introduction to the Old Testament and in order to really experience that wisdom within the bible, one has to
read and study the work and apply what comes from it to ones own life. The subtitle is A Spirituality for Liberation and implies that this book will not
be rigid or embrace literal and stiff biblical interpretations. Rather, a look at the Old Testament can be truly liberating. The book is written on a level that
the public can understand. However, it is a bit advanced for some and certainly does dedicate itself to a higher level reader. On the back cover of the book, for
example, Leslie J. Hoppe of the Catholic Theological Union says that college and graduate students, as well as teachers, will welcome this work. Indeed, the work is meant for the
serious student of the bible, but can also be applicable to the average persons quest for knowledge and the truth as the book touches on many mundane matters. How to
get through life and understand its wrath is truly lifes most contemplated topics and ordinary people do this in their normal course of their days. Some do this more than
others as some join bible studies, read religious literature and so forth, while others just address the issue peripherally. In any event, this book clearly attempts to address a broad
