Pornography, on the other hand, is something that is only accessible to adults, for the most part. Although children could access pornographic channels on television if they do not have adult supervision they are not allowed to view films that are pornographic. But, there are many television shows and films that possess sexual encounters that are almost pornographic. The following paper offers a tutorial persuasive argument for the censorship of violence and pornography in film and television based on the fact it is harmful, in many different ways, to society. It should, however, be noted that in relationship to censorship the student should understand that censorship ultimately means getting rid of the offending object. There is no possible way to rid society completely, or legally, of pornography and violence. But, it can be limited and that is the primary basis of the argument presented. Censorship of Violence and Pornography in Film and TV Pornography and violence are damaging to the morality of the society at large. When people view pornography and/or violence they begin to see that as normal and it promotes many ideals that are not good for the morality of any individual. They put sex in a position where love is not involved, they place violence in a position that seems normal and desirable in solving problems, and it offers nothing in the way of bettering the character of an individual.
