It does not protect us from physical harm. It leaves us without the freedom to obtain information that will enable us to learn what it is we are or may
wish to become. With censorship there is no room for exploration and no room for discoveries. There only remains room for stagnancy. As babies humans have an innate sense of
curiosity. Are we to say no to learning that fire can burn? No. We teach a child that fire is hot and can damage you. We do not remove every
means of heat to prevent our children from knowing this dangerous fact. We expose them to things that can in fact be harmful but we also teach them what we
believe to be the right things and no one says we shouldnt. Censorship does not allow individuals the right to teach and describe what life is and how it can
be harmful. Censoring by definition is the act of officially prohibiting or restricting any and all types of expression that may be
believed to threatening to the structure of religion, politics, social order, or moral traditions. The act of censoring may be imposed by any organization of political, religious, or occasionally by
an influential private group. Forms of censorship can be aimed at the press, theater, dance, photography, literature, radio, television, and the computer networks. Censorship has existed in the United States
since colonial times and the main focus has shifted from mainly political to predominately sexual censorship. In recent times, with the introduction of
