is always a "but" . . . with the new forms of communication technologies that exist in the 21st century world, there are certain concerns unique to modern times. Concerns
that could have not even been imagined as the U.S. Constitution was drafted. Concerns such as international terrorism such as the September 11th attacks or domestic terrorism such as the
bombing of the federal building in Oklahoma City or the actions of "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski serve as just a few examples of how different and dangerous the world is now.
The fact that the information regarding how devastating bombs can be made at home and other "harmful and dangerous" information is readily available on the Internet serves as an important
reason for some measurement of censorship to take place regarding certain topics. It is not a means to curtail legitimate free speech or the ability to offer ones opinion on
any particular issue. Instead, it is a means for public protection and an effort to assure that the next pair of teenagers who decide to go on a killing spree
or an anti-government fanatic cannot create a major destructive weapon through the use of a computer, modem, and a trip to the hardware or home and garden store. Individual Freedom
