There is no question that a war of that magnitude is mired in complexities, and therefore to explain such a happening as the result of any one particular thing
would be to oversimplify a very complex reality. Therefore, the truth is that there are many contributing factors which led to the start of World War II, and it
is the combination of these which proved to be just the mix required for war. And yet, while the contributing factors are indeed many, the core of those most
potent contributors boils down to individual-level theories, or the assertion that it is human nature to fight, and therefore war is a direct result of that nature.
Throughout history, there is evidence to support this assertion, and World War II is no different. When one examines the real impetus of this
war - which was Germanys aggression, then clearly the manifestation of human nature is obvious. However, to understand how these two elements are able to be correlated, it is
important to recognize the fact that it was indeed Germanys aggression which was responsible for World War II. Then it is important to understand how human nature led to
German aggression. German aggression started World War II, and this is evidenced in Germanys invasion of Poland, which marks the beginning of
the war (German Aggression and the Debate About Intervention, 2003). As soon as Hitlers armies had invaded Poland, Britain and France warned Germany that if the Germans didnt withdraw,
