advent of illegal immigration. Illegal immigration, or unauthorized migration, has been a huge problem in the United States for decades. This issue is not exclusive to the U.S. The
EU, UK, Australia, and other nations, including China, are facing the challgnes associatved with massive illegal immigration. What are the underlying causes of illegal immigration? Why do these people
break the law and enter a country where they are basically perceived as criminals? Some of the reasons are very simple, other theories about cuases are more complex. For example,
by not enforcing the laws, arresting the illegals, and sending them home, the iullegal immigratiton continues to be a problem. Popuolar media tells us that some people cross the border
to find a job or a better jog with more pay. Others remind us that crimoinals, like drug traffickers, also come in illegally. Therce are numerous theories and facts
about the effects or consequences of illegal immigration. People on the far left politically believe there are no negative consequences and offer a list of reasons why illegal immigrants should
be tolerated and even welecomed. They also argue that their presence contributes morfe than it takes away and disagree that this is costly to the taxpayer. People on the far
right politically argue that illegal immigrants should be deported immediately and they do, in fact, cost the American taxpayer signinficant amounts of money. Literature Review The most recent data
