The position that will be researched for the project is that of network administrator. There has been so much negative information and experience with what has come to be
regarded extremely loosely as "technical support" that it has come to be thought that all computer system support positions in our largest companies have been shipped overseas with more to
follow. Those within the industry know this is not true, but those considering career options who are unfamiliar with network administration likely do not.
The review of the career of network administrator will focus on anticipated job growth over the next decade; current and future pay scales; educational requirements; and the need
for the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing. Part II: Project Abstract The term "network administrator" typically refers to
the duties of designing, installing and supporting a computer network, but it also often includes the duties of the computer systems administrator which focuses on ensuring network efficiency. Here
both jobs are referred to as "network administrator." Unlike technical support staff that can be located anywhere in the world (i.e., India and other popular outsource destinations), the network
administrator generally is required to be an onsite worker. That requirement is changing, but slowly. For the next decade or so at least, the network administrator will continue
to be required to be in physical proximity to the network s/he is administrating. Demand for network administrators in the future is expected
