MORALLY ACCEPTABLE ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE The Bible is misconstrued in any number of ways, not the least of which includes the erroneous presumption that capital punishment is neither condoned nor accepted within the wide berth of religious application. This wholly interpretive understanding carefully ignores the very blatant stipulations of criminal punishment, with the death penalty one of the most accepted methods. Clearly, people have been put to death with biblical blessing for infractions far less heinous than murder, so how is it that the Bible can be mistaken for harboring judgmental opinion against capital punishment other than to serve the agenda of those who feel the need to utter untruths as an attempt to support their argument?
