Geoffrey Chaucers Canterbury Tales are truly timeless stories that tell the reader something of the history of Europe, various people and their professions, marital and love relationships, and religious issues
of the time. It is really a very priceless work in relationship to what it can teach a reader of the times. In addition, it is often quite humorous, despite
the fact it was written centuries ago. Two of the stories in this work are the Knights Tale and the Friars Tale. They are very different, yet also provide the
reader with an understanding of the overall work from Chaucer. The following paper examines the two while also comparing and contrasting them. Canterbury Tales: Knights Tale and Friars
Tale Canterbury Tales is a compilation of many stories from many individuals on a pilgrimage. "There are representatives of all the social classes from aristocrats down to the lowliest Christian
soul" (Bookwolf). Within each story, told by different individuals, come stories that often possess elements of godly exploration. They are stories that attempt to solve, perhaps, the meaning of life
in some way, seeking a higher purpose so to speak. Both of the stories under examination do this in different ways. In the Knights Tale the story is of
