cost. The following paper provides some guidelines in planning a camping trip to Hawaii, and the Hawaiian islands. The following itinerary is fairly limited, because truly planning every detail of
a trip can take days, and even weeks, to locate the best deals. As such much of the information is general, although websites are offered for the students further detailed
report. Initial Costs: Getting to Honolulu, Hawaii This particular writer, living in New Mexico, could take a plane from Albuquerque to Honolulu for about $538.00 if planned during a
slow season and an off day (AOL Travel, 2005). This writer chooses to save some money and drive to Los Angeles, a trip that would cost approximately $100.00 in
gas round trip. The flight from Los Angeles to Honolulu would cost approximately $337.00. This writer, who is not against traveling roughly, especially considering it is a camping trip, would
sleep in the car when needed, on their way to Los Angeles and eat food that was brought along. Once in Honolulu hotel could be found, for one night,
for anywhere from $50.00 to $100.00. From there, the next day, a plane ride from Honolulu to the island of Oahu, which would run approximately $150.00, would take this person
to the island where campgrounds are numerous. If need be a car could be rented, at about $40.00 a day. There are ferries which can take the individual from Oahu
