one would envision from the name. They are considered to be the largest of all the wild cats that are found in North America (Digital Desert). This includes the other
cats that belong to this particular group, such as the Texas Panther. "A male lion can average 130 - 150 pounds and a female 65-90 pounds. Mountain Lions are a
tawny to grayish color" (Digital Desert). As can be seen, the males are larger than the females. They are generally of one particular color with darker fur on the tip
