Cabrini. It is a mural that demonstrates a hope and a passion in many different ways. The following paper examines Mother Cabrini and this particular mural as it relates to
the student requesting this paper. Cabrini College Mural The student requesting this paper is taking a class on world religions and
as such this particular mural has significant meaning, especially in relationship to Cabrini College itself. The first question posed is "who do I see in the mural?" This particular mural,
according to the student, possesses many different people who are apparently from many different backgrounds. There is also the figure of Mother Cabrini in the mural as well. According to
information obtained on a page at the website of Cabrini College, the mural "depicts 60 life-size people representing immigrants arriving at Ellis Island to immigrants of today" (Cabrini College, 2004).
Apparently the figures all look seemingly tired but there is a sense of hopefulness and happiness to the figures for they are going on to a new life, and led
on by Mother Cabrini who also looks tired but incredibly hopeful in her dreams of educating people. Part of her passion life was to offer education and homes to the
homeless children in New York (McCabe, 2008). It is also perhaps important to understand that this mural may also be depicting an event, rather than a symbolic ideal, for "In
1889, she arrived off the boat with over one thousand immigrants ready to begin a new life" (McCabe, 2008). The next question
is who painted this particular work. The mural was "created by the students of Lisa Learner-Wagner, and Richard Wagner" (Cabrini College, 2004). The student is then asked, "How is
