to consider all of the information that a person is bombarded with on a daily basis, there is no doubt that one of the major characteristics of the species is
that it was born to learn, to reason, and to apply learned knowledge. Give this then, how does one use that God-given talent to teach the average person about the
abstract concept of God? Yount begins the book, which is divided into five units, by a quick overview of what he calls the Disciplers Model. This model seems to be
the major premise that the book hinges upon. The seven elements of the model answer the posed question: How do I teach so that learners grow in the Lord?
"The truth is, many ministerial students experience anxiety when confronted by a study of secular theorists and their ideas. How will these ideas influence my thinking? My values? My faith?
How far can I go in embracing secular theories before compromising my beliefs?"(Yount 1). Given this, then, the first thing Yount does is to offer a straightforward,
step by step procedure for helping learners to learn incorporating the best of the theories with the doctrine of the Christian faith. First, there is the Foundation Stone in the
