to develop a paper based around consumer behavior and the product chosen, which in this case is rich ice cream sold at a reasonable price. The ice cream in question
is available through two packages - a gallon tub and ice cream bars. The manufacturer decided to package the ice cream in this way to eliminate the difficulty of too
many choices. The student can put in a line here explaining that too much information and too many choices can be confusing to a consumer, and might actually prevent the
consumer from buying a product. With the idea that simplicity is best, the consumer can choose from four flavors (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and cookie-dough), that are available in two forms.
At this point, the student needs to have a statement implying that there is more to selling a product that simply having
the product out there. Consumer behavior, and everything that drives it, is an important consideration when it comes to marketing of any kind of product. An understanding of what drives
a consumer to buy a product (whether that product is a hammer or ice cream) is necessary for the marketer to succeed at marketing this particular brand of ice cream.
With this, the student needs to go on and explain the purpose of this paper, which is to present a treatise about
consumer behavior, and how this behavior can be understood to help the marketer come to a method by which communication (and distribution) can be formulated to distribute and sell this
particular brand of ice cream. The student can even add a sentence noting that, at the end of the report, the marketer will have an understanding of what drives consumer
