schools have been considered "bad," partly because teachers hands are tied when it comes to discipline (and partly because the education is considered "free," and things that are free arent
valued as much). In the meantime, the environment in a private school is considered "better" because it is privately funded. But what is the truth beneath these comments?
In this paper, well provide an analysis of the atmosphere/environment between public and private schools and, based on the literature analysis available, will develop
a questionnaire to help determine factors that would be significant to the success of either school. The proposed questionnaire we will introduce will be an example only - the student
will need to develop his or her own questionnaire from the literature provided. The main differences? It could be said that the
main differences between public and private schools are that private schools arent necessarily so depending on the tax base (or on government agencies, other than accreditation) and they could conceivably
be stronger in terms of learning. If one were to examine Kyle Williams column, however, one would be convinced that public schools are places of evil, and the only true
way to receive a strong education is either through a privately funded school or even home schooling. Williams, who is a 15-year-old
columnist for the on-line publication WorldNetDaily (which is a primarily conservative website), points to a study released during May 2004 by the Public Agenda organization that pointed out that "rowdy
and undisciplined students are interrupting the learning environment in many public schools" (Williams, 2004). But Williams notes that it isnt so much the atmosphere thats the problem here, but rather,
