to successfully bring foreign goods to a local market, a strong supply chain management system must be in place. In this essay,
were studying an Asian supermarket and its relationship with suppliers in China. The market in question sells products locally ranging from groceries, to canned goods to gifts (such as toys
and rice cookers). The target market, it can be presumed, is the local Asian community, which would prefer goods imported directly from Asian countries, rather than those of American manufacture.
As a result, most of the goods stocked in this supermarket come from Asia - more specifically, China. And wisely enough, the
owners of this store are concerned about getting goods from China, to the store, in a timely fashion and with reasonable costs.
