reader with a very enjoyable story that is primarily based on Christianity. It is in these books that he seems to reach the most diverse population of readers, taking in
the non-Christian reader as well. But, for those who are more interested in scholarly applications, Lewis is best known for all his varied works concerning Christianity. One of his most
basic, and yet most powerful, in "Mere Christianity." In the following paper we present a review of the book, discussing what his main focus or arguments are, and then discussing
how well he goes about supporting his arguments. Mere Christianity First and foremost it appears as though Lewis is presenting us with a book that clearly accepts the
truth of Gods existence. While it is perhaps a book that is helpful to those who are curious about believing, it is essentially intended to show the fundamental beliefs of
the Christian people. This seems to be focused through describing how there are many different types of Christians, but that there is essentially only one place, what he appears to
call the hall, which is a place where all Christians reside as they decide which room (denomination) they will enter. In better understanding many of the arguments that Lewis presents
in the book we first examine the introduction. In this introduction Lewis indicates that there are many different types of Christianity, with different elements to their beliefs. He then
states that "All this is said in order to make clear what kind of book I was trying to write; not in the least to conceal or evade responsibility for
my own beliefs" (Lewis x). In essence, this tells us that his writing will not be about his own particular beliefs regarding his particular denomination, but rather an examination of
