structure evolves. There are a number of different organisational structures which will determine not only how thing are done, but may also influence the level of importance that
is attached to different tasks and the attitudes and values that makeup the culture. For example, in a strict bureaucracy where there are clear hierarchies and employees in clearly defined
jobs specific tasks will be taken care of by specific employees in a formal manner, where there is a problem there will be a set, documented communication method to ensure
the fault is corrected. In a more relaxed flatter structure, such as a clover leaf structure, there will be a less rigid communication pattern, where communication may lead to
an earlier rectification of any issues, likewise the lack of formal communication could also lead to more oversights (Huczyniski and Buchanan, 2007).
The differences in the structure lead to both practical tangible as well as intangible differences. As well as communication structure will impact on many different influences that have some level
of influence on the way any internal process or issues is viewed, including issues of power; who has it and how it is used, the priorities of the company, the
way a company treats its employees and manages them from a HRM perspective, general decision making and planning and even social interactions.
