countless "old" businesses around: coffee, sugar, home building, furniture, TV sales, video rental stores. Conventional wisdom says that in starting a new business, it is necessary to find
something new that has at least short-term potential to stay ahead of the competition. However, there is a reason that the "old" businesses remain viable. People want and
need the goods and services they offer. Beaches will be located at the interface of business and residential districts along Wacker Drive.
This location places Beaches close to Chicagos business and financial district but also close to the residents of the restoration neighborhoods housing those working in the Wacker Drive district.
Beaches location is one of its key success factors, for as a high-end restaurant, those with the means of patronizing the restaurant need to
have easy access to it. Early establishment and then preservation of Beaches image also will be critical to its long-term success. Image can command higher prices, but image
