While most Thomas Cook customers could be expected to have no opinion as to the ethics of that company, many are vitally interested in the same measure regarding Shell. All businesses are obliged to take advantage of the information available to them as a means of increasing their competitive advantage within their industries and markets. the continuing evolution of business in todays hypercompetitive environment. eBay Founded in 1996, eBay is the leading online auction site at which individuals
can find virtually everything for sale. The company maintains sites specifically targeting virtually every developed market in the world, including Singapore, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and others.
It currently carries market capitalization of $45.21 billion, and its shares trade for a price-to-earnings ratio of 101. It is one of the few technology stocks (it operates exclusively
online) that have survived the fallout of the technology sector in the US market in 2000. Shell Oil Royal/Dutch Shell Oil Company is
more than 100 years old and is one of the worlds leading oil companies. Based in the Netherlands, Shell Oil has had immense difficulty in the past with environmental
issues and environmentalist groups, but it has resolved many of those problems through the adoption of sustainability measures that other oil companies are only beginning to contemplate, much less implement.
Shell Oil operates in many of the worlds developed nations, and it maintains several related businesses, each of which has the use of
