first worth defining what is a macro factor. These are the wider factors that impact on the organisation, these are factors the company cannot change, only react to. The macro
environment a very wide issue, and we can only look at the factor, and then how the organisation exists, this includes issues such as the economy of the country, political
influences and social problems. Micro factors are the smaller environment in which the hospital operates, and factors which it will have the power to change. Economical/Financial Factors If
we look at the economy that the hospital competes in the hospital is well placed with being the first Asian hospital to gain the Triple Crown of Quality (Bumrungrad Hospital,
2002). In addition to this there has also been the gaining of ISO 14001, the certification for Environmental Management Systems (Bumrungrad Hospital, 2002). These may appear far removed from finance,
