indication seems to point to economic distress; according to economists, "the U.S. economy is going to experience some extremely tough times in the months ahead" (Anonymous #2, 2001).
The Daily News article entitled "Can The Economy Bounce Back" notes that the stock market confirmed every fear when it reopened a week after
the terrorist attack. With people selling and trade plummeting, Wall Street barely hung on to its life before the final bell rang that Monday. Running scared has become
