being a man into being a woman. This book "was the first bestselling work by a transgendered American" (Jennifer Finney Boylan Homepage: The Author, 2006). Jennifer, when she was James,
married and had two children. As such Jennifers family was also changed in many ways. The following paper examines, reviews, various issues in the book, and in relationship to the
topic of the book. Transgender/Transsexual A transgender or transsexual individual is a person who generally identifies with the sex that is
opposite to the sex they were born. They feel they possess all the inner traits, the identity of that particular gender. A transgender or transsexual can often undergo surgery and
hormonal treatment to become the sex they identify with, though this option is not always open to most people as it is expensive and entails a great deal of work,
including tests and inquiries and interviews, before acceptance into having a sex change, or going through the process of a sex change. The primary condition, or reality, of transgender or
transsexual individuals is that they do not feel that their true identity is fulfilled in being the sex they were born. Many struggle with the identity issue for much of
their life. Process As would readily be expected, transgender individuals have a great deal of difficulty coming out, or even thinking
