There are those who argue that the borders should be more open, with economic benefits for both countries in the future, and those who argue that no amount of illegal immigration should take place. The following paper argues the negative results of illegal immigration as it involves border control. Border Control: United States and Mexico Whatever ones stance on the issue of border control between the United States and Mexico the truth is that more and more illegal immigrants are entering into the United States and that they do put some burden on the United States. One of the issues involves higher taxes for the citizens of the United States. It is generally understood that illegal immigrants do not pay taxes and they generally send most of what they make back home to their families in Mexico. This creates a situation wherein the money that they are being paid is not going back into the system of the United States economy. With their revenue going back home to Mexico much of the money does not stay in the United States and it does not come back to the United States as it does through exporting and importing industries. This situation clearly has an affect on taxing in the United States. And, the taxing is not just involved through the situations noted above, but also through the conditions wherein the illegal immigrants receive medical care and assistance from the government of the United States. In truth, someone has to pay for that and that money ultimately comes from the taxpaying citizens of the nation.
