movie. It is about finding ones place in the work world, ethics, compassion, the relationship between a father and son, and greed. It also offers a look into a world
where money is all that matters and a man will do whatever he needs to do to convince somebody else to give him their money . . . and making
them want to give it! It is one-up-manship and cunning at its finest and its most depraved. And, it is most certainly no place for somebody with a conscience.
Wanting it All The movie starts with hearing the voice of the lead character, Seth Davis (Giovanni Ribisi) explaining about his observations of the world and the ways that
people become wealthy. He talks about millionaire secretaries at Microsoft and "that kid actor who made 20 million on his last movie." He tells that all he wants is a
chance to "get in" and explains: "I didnt want to be an innovator. I just wanted to make the quick and easy buck. I just wanted in." The audience immediately
understands that it is listening to somebody that is both ambitious and greedy. It is only emphasized when he quotes Notorious B.I.G. saying: "Either youre slinging crack rock or youve
got a wicked jump shop -- nobody wants to work for it any more. Theres no honor in taking that after school job at Mickey Dees. Honors in the dollar,
kid." So, in Seth Daviss logic he explains: "So in the white boy way of slinging crack, I became a stock broker." This is his way in and his big
