Practicum Experience Implementation of the Learning Agreement Reflection on the Value of the Practicum Professional Relationships References Speaker Notes: This practicum project was designed to address some of the fundamental problems related to blood pressure measurement as a diagnostic tool for hypertension. The practicum project that is described below focused on the procedures and practices used by a primary care facility to address the issue of hypertension among its patients. The practicum specifically focused on teaching the RNs, LVNs and MAs on staff how to take blood pressure properly, exploring associated issues and ensuring the assimilation of this knowledge. This project related specific learning objectives, provided an analysis of the effectiveness of the project, assessed the importance in relation to MSN program outcomes, evaluated the practicum experience and the overall implementation of a learning agreement, and considered the value of the practicum for nursing students in general. In correlation, the practicum project also assessed professional relationships and their impacts on the creation and implementation of the practicum project.
