history. On the night of June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and a local waiter Ron Goldman were found brutally murdered outside Nicoles residence. Nicole was the estranged
wife of OJ Simpson, a legendary football player (Tucker, 1994). The resulting evidence stretched from the murder residence, to O.J.s white Bronco, to his house at the Rockingham estate.
The murderer had savagely used a knife to stab both Nicole and Goldman several times. Consequently, the blood evidence in this case was some of the most convincing
of any evidentiary item. Unfortunately, a chain of errors in the collection, processing, and presentation of that evidence, introduced reasonable doubt as to whether O.J. Simpson was actually the
murderer. Discussion The blood evidence at the Bundy
estate where the murders occurred were left little question as to who had been killed and even how. The problem arose as detectives and criminalists followed the blood evidence
through the sequence of sites. The walk and rear gate into Nicoles home yielded blood as did the Ford Bronco was found parked at the Rockingham estate. Blood
evidence was collected both from the outside of the Bronco and from the inside. The driveway and the foyer at Simpsons Bundy estate also yielded blood evidence as did
socks found in Simpsons bedroom and a glove found on his property. Analysis of the blood evidence collected in this case
yielded some shocking results. Not only was Simpsons blood found on the rear gate at the Bundy Estate, a mixture of Simpsons, Nicoles and Goldmans blood were found in
