through the Omega. In other words, it addresses all issues of Christianity from the birth of Jesus Christ to his death and resurrection. And while it is these four Gospels
that are so valuable to the religion, and relied on so much by so many sects of Christianity, these four gospels are often discussed and debated. There are inconsistencies in
them. Authorship has always been an issue as well. Who wrote the bible anyway? The fact that these old manuscripts are used to support a dominant religion is curious. How
can anyone believe that the gospels are historically reliable? After all, they are just embellishments from the early church. How can anyone honesty believe something that began as
an oral tradition? The questions that loom but at risk the very essence of Christianity. If the gospels are inaccurate, it just may be that the religion is not supported.
Of course, there are many ways that scholars authenticate the bible and other religious materials. Blomberg (1987) says that "it is possible to defend the accuracy of much of Scripture
on purely historical grounds" (p.9). In other words, in addition to just reading the four gospels, historians and theologians make sure that not only are the documents logically from
a particular time period, but they are evaluated in the context of history. Thus, if something is written from a certain era but mentions something not invented until centuries later,
the document would be suspect. In part, this is how documents are authenticated but there are various techniques. The four gospels are a bit unusual in that they tell the
