God") is a "philosophical discourse on the duties and the meaning of life and death."3 The narrative begins with Arjun, the leader of one branch of the Bharata family, facing
battle against another branch of the his family on the field of Kurukshetra. Arjun is in a moral dilemma because if he fights, he will have to kill his cousins;
however, if he does not fight, it means his own death. He asks Lord Krishna, who happens to be his chariot driver, for his counsel. The advice Krishna offers him
