the xenophobia that is emerging for their own political ends. This paper will summarize and analyse the contents of the article, agreeing with many of the points, looking at why
and how some are right, but also considering the way is keen to blame politicians, but does not allocate any blame or responsibility on the media who report the events,
which is a serious omission when looking at this problem. Horne (2002, p4) looks at the way that anti Islamic feeling is arising following events such as the Bali
bombing, and the emergence of a stereotype, where Muslims are seen as a separate group, outside of the Australian culture and norms. Horne (2002, p4) notes that with the rhetoric
regarding the war on terror there has been a generalization that has created a doctrine where there is a view that the Islamic faith creates conditions in which Muslims will
