and also to the continuation of my academic career, the answer lies in the fact that learning to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, is fundamental to any
future success that life may have to offer. This necessarily entails that students, in addition to learning how to communicate their thoughts effectively, should necessarily also comprehend written forms. The
topics explored in English class will prove instrumental throughout the rest of my educational career and undoubtedly aid me in addressing communicative tasks in my chosen career. First of
all, English class makes students highly aware of the dynamics of writing, the nuts-and-bolts of it, which consist of grammar, vocabulary, spelling and logical sentence construction. A sentence, improperly punctuated,
can frequently become incomprehensible, leaving the reader to guess at its meaning, rather than making its meaning clear. The same principle applies to all of the dynamics of writing effectively.
English class also benefits students by demonstrating the nuances of communication. For example, the use of simile and metaphor in poetry frequently demonstrates how a well phrased comparison can
be more enlightening and convey a more precise meaning than an extended descriptive passage. At this point, the student researching this topic could illustrate this point by quoting a particularly
