beliefs and teachings of Islam. Beliefs and Teachings of Islam One of the primarily elements concerning the beliefs and the teachings of Islam involves the Quran (Koran). "Muslims
believe the Quran is the word of God, spoken by the angel Gabriel to Muhammad" (Wenner, 2001). While this collection of the word of God was only orally passed along
during Muhammads time it was eventually written down to become the Quran (Wenner, 2001). There are different branches, one could say,
of Islam but there are essentially "Six Articles of Faith" which "are the main doctrines of Islam" (Wenner, 2001). All Muslims share many beliefs and teachings in common, aside from
Muhammad and the Quran (Wenner, 2001). They all believe in Allah and like Christians and Jews believe in only one God and that God is the creator of all that
is in existence (Wenner, 2001). They believe in angels and they believe in scripture "There are four inspired books, the Torah of Moses, the Psalms (Zabin) of David, the Gospel
of Jesus Christ (Injil) and the Quran" (Wenner, 2001). They believe in prophets who are individuals that God speaks through (Wenner,
2001). They believe that Jesus, Moses, Noah, Abraham, Adam and Muhammad were all prophets (Wenner, 2001). They hold the belief that there is an afterlife and they believe that there
will come a day of judgment and resurrection (Wenner, 2001). They hold the belief that those who are faithful will go to Paradise and those who are not will go
