the church of God (Corinthians I 15:9). In his first epistle, Corinthians I, Paul preaches Christianity as he has come to know it and as it has been demonstrated to
him - a doctrine that offers forgiveness and redemption to all in exchange for a genuine belief and faith. He attests to the fact that he himself was once
among the greatest of sinners, those sinners whose actions worked to undermine the church and the basic principles of Christianity. Since he was not only forgiven for these great
sins through his faith and belief, but also chosen to pass this message of forgiveness to the multitude of nonbelievers, he feels that the purpose that has been chosen for
him is that of a living example. He knows that there is still much skepticism and doubt as to the validity and purpose
of the Resurrection, for he himself has walked in the shoes of the nonbelievers. From his experience, he realizes that the path of righteousness and a life lived according
to this righteousness can appear futile and hopeless in the eyes of those who already perceive themselves as sinners. He sees it as his purpose, therefore, to set himself
as an example to those sinners. His central message preaches the truth that the grace of God is still available and attainable for even those who perceive themselves as
the very worst of sinners, and that redemption may be attained only through faith and belief. But by the grace of God
