simply because Snow White was so beautiful. The protagonist one day went into the forest, never to return. While her stepmother, the Queen, wanted her dead, and even put a contract out on her, Snow White happened along some dwarfs. She ended up living with these kind and amusing souls. The talking mirror alerted the Queen to the idea that the deed was not done, and so the Queen killed Snow White herself, with a poisoned apple. While dead, she would later be revived when she was kissed by a prince. The story may be interpreted in many ways, and the literary aspects of the story should also be considered. Is this a well crafted story? Does the plot make sense? Gavins analyzes the piece through the text world theory, and Emmott uses contextual frame theory in respect to suggesting that there are heavy demands made on the reader in respect to their inferential skills (Weber, 2004). This comes into play when a reader tries to make sense out of the story (Weber, 2004). There is in fact a great deal of information that is not stated within the confines of the text (Weber, 2004). The concept of linguistic implicitness is also examined (Weber, 2004). One has to wonder whether or not there is a problem in respect to clarity. That said, Snow White provides a tale that could in fact lead people to interpret it in a variety of ways. Nealon (2005) evaluates the text and suggests that the reader is confronted with a verity of things from irony to aesthetics. He explains, from the "opening passage we are confronted with a series of difficult aesthetic, linguistic, and ideological questions" (Nealon, 2005, p. 123).
