and generally stands as one of the most powerful authorities on the subject. One of his books is "The Battle Cry for Freedom: The Civil War Era." In this book
we are offered up a very generalized look at the entire Civil War, covering topics such as the brutal reality of fighting and the political struggles between North and South.
In essence, it is a relatively quick and concise book that can introduce and individual to the complexities of the Civil War, giving them enough information to decide if they
