well make certain adjustments to operations management as a means of meeting the evolving needs of the market. One major change which might be effective is the switch from a
batch process to a line process for handling strategic information and decision making. This paragraph helps the student begin to address how different functions of the organization might response
to or benefit from a line process. It must be stated, of course, that any organization which undertakes such a fundamental change, must be prepared to explore how the change
will impact the individual functions within the organization. For example, one might look at how a change to line processing would impact marketing. In a 2011 study, line processing methods
were used to monitor the effectiveness of various chemical reactions in a manufacturing context ("On-line", 2011). Notably, the use of such methods allowed for complex bilinear and trilinear methods of
analysis to be utilized in the examination of processes ("On-line", 2011). The efficacy of line processing in such a complex and scientifically nuanced context indicates how it can be similarly
used to monitor the effectiveness of operational processes within the organization ("On-Line", 2011). For marketing, this could be significant as it would allow marketing greater access to information about the
