the two faiths, as to similarities and differences. The most fundamental concept of Judaic belief is "a commitment by the Jewish people to a single, omnipotent, incorporeal God, who
is the creator and ruler of the universe," as well as the "source of moral law for humanity" ("Principal beliefs," 2011). The Shema, a Jewish prayer that is taken from
Deuteronomy 6:4-9, is a "declaration of this belief," as well as a key feature of every synagogue service ("Principal beliefs," 2011). The Shema is also recited each day upon waking,
