Baptist Health Home Health (BHHH) is an outgrowth of Baptist Health, the largest healthcare organization in Arkansas. All of health care is in flux and continues to evolve.
Even though there have been many changes in recent years that have led to increased need for home health care, it is likely that changes occurring in the industry in
the future will add to that need as well. These changes added to the fact that the first of the baby boomers only now are entering retirement age indicate
that demand for the services that BHHH offers will increase dramatically in less than five years time. Home health is the fastest-growing segment
of health care, and that growth can be expected to continue for several years. There are 54,918 people over the age of 60 in the county, or 15.2 percent
of the total population. Those over 65 comprise 11.5 percent of the local population, and it is that age group that claims more than 80 percent of home health
utilization. Further, the baby boomers only recently began to reach retirement age and the target market will increase dramatically over the next several years. BHHH should focus on
expanding market share now and then maintaining that share as the target market increases in size. Situation Analysis BHHH is a
