that occurred on the first Pentecost as recorded in Acts 1:1-12. The foundations for Pentecostalism were proposed by Charles Fox Parham in 1901 when he set out the basic tenets
of this movement. The major beliefs of the Pentecostal Church are: * A Pentecostal baptism is a gift from the Holy Spirit (Callaway, 2009). * Baptism with the Holy Spirit
represents a promise from God, the Father (Callaway Assembly of, 2009). * People receive the power of the Holy Spirit within themselves. Christ told His Apostles that they were to
wait for what the Father had promised, another Spirit who would give them the special powers they needed to carry out their mission (Callaway Assembly of, 2009). * Pentecost is
about the power of the Holy Spirit. People receive the power to become witnesses for Jesus Christ (Callaway Assembly of, 2009). * Dramatic things might happen, such as speaking in
