known as the BP oil spill) in the Gulf of Mexico experienced an oil gusher from the sea floor that created a massive explosion killing 11 people and injuring dozens.
The spill, which has not been capped to this day, has caused hundreds of millions of gallons of oil to be leaked into the ocean and is now being categorized
as the largest oil spill in history. An unfathomable amount of sea life has been killed and the beautiful blue and white Florida beaches have been infested with tar balls
and muddy waters for the last two months. While it is no doubt tragic what is happening to the worlds beautiful ocean and beaches, BP executives are doing everything in
their power to cap the leak. Morally and ethically it looks bad that this has happened because of the death and destruction it is causing to the surrounding habitat, but
BP has taken it upon itself to make this wrong right. There are a lot of rigs drilling for oil around the world and it just so happened that one
of BPs rigs exploded. As long as they make a conscientious effort to fix the problem, then morally they are acting appropriately. But as soon as they let this fall
by the wayside or they fail to fix the problem on a timely basis, then it will become evident that they are not practicing good business ethics. Furthermore, BP
